Rebekah Marxen – NJ is an artist based in northern New Jersey whose current studio practice utilizes contemporary stained glass methods combined with acrylic painting and found object assemblage. Proficient in a variety of artistic media, Rebekah’s one-of-a-kind mixed-media works challenge her to explore multiple materials and techniques simultaneously. An avid collector of curiosities since childhood, she’s spent countless hours beachcombing, mudlarking, and fossil hunting. As her collection expanded, she realized the best way to display her “finds” was to repurpose them through her artistic practice. In doing so, Rebekah gives new life to objects and notions otherwise lost to tide, trend, or time.
